The Town of Cortlandt and the Villages of Buchanan and Croton-on-Hudson have embarked upon a mission to create a 9/11 Memorial utilizing surviving steel from the World Trade Center site.
The memorial, "Reaching Through The Shadow" will be constructed on the riverbank at Croton Landing.

SHUTTLE TO THE 9/11MEMORIAL
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson will provide a free shuttle service from the Croton Landing parking lot to the Memorial site, which is 1/4 of a mile. The shuttle service will begin this Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. We very much appreciate the support from the Village.

07/19/12: Construction mobilization for the building of the Buchanan*Cortlandt*Croton-on-Hudson 9-11 Remembrance Memorial (BCC 9-11 Memorial) at Croton Landing will begin on July 20, 2012. The construction is expected to continue for 6 to 8 weeks. The Memorial will be built at the northern most point of Croton Landing. Public safety barriers will be placed around the construction site.
